ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Tax Senior (CPA)
to join our growing tax services team specializing in tax relief
and resolution support. This critical leadership role will work
closely with the Tax Preparation Manager to supervise, coach, and
develop a team of tax preparers, quality auditors, and
administrative support staff.
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of
the team, reviewing and signing off on tax returns, auditing work
for accuracy and compliance, coaching and training staff, and
overseeing administrative processing. You will also manage an
active pipeline of cases in Salesforce, ensuring all client files
move smoothly through the preparation and filing stages.
Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other departments
to ensure operational alignment, client readiness, and continuous
improvement across the client journey.
Candidates must hold an active CPA license, as well as an active
PTIN and CAF number with the IRS.

Base Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 annually
Monthly Bonus: Eligible for additional bonus potential based on

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Team Leadership and Support
Support the Tax Preparation Manager by helping supervise and
oversee daily activities of tax preparers, quality auditors, and
the administrative assistant.
Coach and mentor tax preparers on tax law application, quality
standards, and company best practices.
Conduct return audits and case reviews, providing feedback to
preparers and auditors to drive continuous improvement.
Tax Preparation and Quality Assurance
Review and sign off on federal and state tax returns, including
Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, and other associated forms related
to tax relief and resolution cases.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IRS and state
filing requirements.
Identify errors or deficiencies and guide preparers on corrective
actions.
Pipeline and Case Management
Manage an active pipeline of tax cases in Salesforce, ensuring
accurate tracking, documentation, and progress through each
preparation and filing milestone.
Monitor individual pipelines for assigned tax preparers,
identifying and resolving bottlenecks to maintain steady workflow
and meet deadlines.
Partner with the Tax Preparation Manager to develop strategies to
optimize case flow and operational efficiency.
Administrative Oversight
Supervise administrative processes related to tax filings,
including receiving signed returns, uploading them to client
records in Salesforce, and ensuring timely filing with the IRS
and/or state agencies.
Work with the administrative assistant to maintain complete,
organized, and secure client records.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Sales Department to ensure accurate and
timely handoff of client financials and tax data.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to uphold audit
standards and address trends or systemic issues affecting return
accuracy or timeliness.
Participate in feedback loops across departments to improve
internal workflows and the overall client experience.
Compliance and Best Practices
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax laws,
especially those impacting clients in tax relief programs.
Support the implementation of best practices and process
improvements for quality, speed, and accuracy.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
Active CPA license in good standing.
Active PTIN and CAF number with the IRS.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of tax preparation and review experience, preferably in a
tax relief or tax resolution environment.
Prior experience reviewing the work of other tax preparers and/or
providing coaching, training, or supervisory support.
Strong proficiency with Salesforce CRM or similar case management
systems.
Expertise in tax preparation software (ProSeries, Lacerte,
UltraTax, or similar).
Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication
skills.
High level of attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and
commitment to quality standards.
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, and client-focused
environment.
WHAT'S NICE TO HAVE
Prior experience working in the Tax Relief industry or at a tax
resolution firm.
Experience conducting quality reviews and audits of tax returns
prepared by others.
Familiarity with tax filings related to Offer-in-Compromise cases,
Installment Agreements, and other resolution strategies (knowledge
only; submission handled by other departments).
