Job Description Job Description Position: Assembler I Location: Pomona, CA Duration: 12 months Shift: 6 AM - 4:30 PM Position Summary The position of Assembler I is within our CMI business unit located in California. Under general supervision, this role is responsible for setting up and performing adjustments to equipment used in support of manufacturing. Ability to diagnose and perform routine technical troubleshooting is required. This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management. Required Skills 2–5 years assembling, filling, and packaging reagents experience No blueprints experience needed Pharma experience ideal but not required Packaging experience required; must be able to read work orders Food manufacturing environment experience acceptable Software skills: minimal Excel, basic computer skills Most documentation is printed and handwritten (not digital) Responsibilities May be tasked with completing set-up operations for assembly, packaging, and prep operations in compliance with approved documentation and QSR, including: Line clearance Equipment preventative maintenance Housekeeping Perform routine tasks following detailed written or verbal instructions Assemble, repair, inspect, and/or test products per written instructions Assist Engineering and Maintenance teams with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment Complete and ensure accuracy of documentation related to manufactured products and equipment maintenance Clean, perform, and document routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs Dispose of hazardous waste materials in designated hazardous waste areas Support continuous improvement activities (e.g., 5S, OEE) Support new equipment installation and validation Assist with problem-solving related to product quality as required Read and comprehend basic instructions and work-related documents Demonstrate strong customer service skills while maintaining product quality Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions under supervisor or manager guidance Collaborate with Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, QC Technicians, and Management to identify and implement process improvements Work on semi-routine assignments requiring judgment to resolve problems and make routine recommendations Understand quality consequences of improper job performance and recognize potential device defects related to manufacturing and testing activities Exhibit professional behavior with internal and external business associates in alignment with company policies Carry out duties in compliance with established business policies Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs Position Overview Very detailed work. Will use Masterflex—set it up and give volume to fill. Have a guideline to reference. Lots of paperwork. Basic knowledge of GMP, filling, and packaging reagents required. Basic math skills needed. Lifting no more than 15 lbs.
