Job Description -APEM Components, a global leader in man-machine
interface products is searching for a self-motivated, high-energy
Western Regional Sales Manager. -This person will be responsible
for achieving revenue and margin targets through the management of
strategic customers, Sales Representatives, and Distributors in an
assigned territory. -APEM manufactures one of the broadest product
lines in the switch industry. -APEM also produces a wide range of
industrial controls, joysticks, membrane switches and switch panel
assemblies.TERRITORY: Western U.S and Canada GENERAL KEY
FUNCTIONS:
- Directly responsible for achieving sales revenue targets for
the Western North American Sales Region
- Define sales and growth strategy toward Manufacturing Sales Rep
Partners within the assigned Region while aligning with critical
sales business objectives.
- Utilize Sales and Marketing skills to consistently grow APEM's
future opportunity pipeline and convert 40% of opportunities to
production wins
- Achieving a high level of sales and technical proficiency with
APEM linesRESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Achieve sales and booking goals per annual budget and
opportunity generation goals
- Work closely and harmoniously with the Inside Sales team as
well as other internal partners
- Provide motivation, support and training to manufacturers' rep
organizations and distributors to ensure that sales objectives are
achieved
- Review Rep performance on a quarterly basis
- Drive and manage new business opportunities. -Working with your
inside team, sales Reps and distributors, develop and manage new
opportunities
- Develop annual budgets for the territory and provide updated
forecasts throughout the calendar year.
- Actively manage all key accounts in conjunction with the sales
channel in the territory
- Provide ongoing analysis on market trends and competitive
situations in the territory
- Travel throughout assigned Region and APEM locations on a
regular basis to
- Build customer relationships and provide solutions based on
customer needs
- Communicate and encourage local distributor branches to
support
- Manage and create a strong working relationship with
Manufacturer Reps assigned to Western Region
- Utilize virtual tools to continue to build upon relationships
with external and internal clients and partnersQUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business
Management preferred
- 5 years of direct sales experience
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a proven track record of closing new business
- Polished presentation and communication skills are
essential
- Must have excellent project management skills and be detailed
orientedSuccessful candidate will be required to do 40%-60% travel
requiring overnight stays.The position is located at our APEM Inc.
