Immediate opening for a Laboratory Technician in Vista, CA who possesses: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution Ability to work Tuesday to Saturday (full time) and requires the ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime hours as needed. At least 2 years experience in the general lab pr relevant lab experience Nice to have: Previous lab experience or working in biotech. Quadax, Xifin, or Telcor experience a PLUS Email resumes to sdinfosimplybiotech.com or call 858.800.3050 FULL DESCRIPTION: The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for general laboratory tasks such as buffer preparation and operation of laboratory equipment. Take direction from and works in collaboration with other staff members in the Flow cytometry department. The selected candidate will further possess: Previous experience in flow cytometry or Hematology preferred. Ability to work Tuesday to Saturday (full time) and requires the ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime hours as needed. Must be able to use general office equipment including computer, telephone, copier, etc. Good organizational and interpersonal skills The selected candidate will be responsible for the following: Creating batches in LIS (Exemplar) before testing. Flow cytometry testing: preparation, staining, and acquisition Manage sample storage. Support inventory tracking system in place for department supplies and reagents. Operates lab equipment such as TECAN-EVO 100, HELMER Ultra-Cell Washer, Navios, Gallios, Emerald, Hemateck, and Eppendorf centrifuge. Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment including troubleshooting. Preparation of routine laboratory buffers and solutions (1% Wash buffers, 10% Diluent, and 1X Lysis buffer). Disposal of biohazardous waste using safety procedures. Performs high complexity testing in the Flow laboratory and Hematology under the supervision of the CLS. Pre-analysis of Flow cytometry testing. Accurately identifies each specimen and test order to ensure results are accurate and reported promptly. Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties to meet timelines. Communicate effectively with laboratory supervisor and CLss regarding special needs and maintenance of the department.
