Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. This is a full-time position located at our dental office. Responsibilities: - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement - Take and develop dental x-rays - Conduct oral cancer screenings - Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment - Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in the electronic health record system (Epic) - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment - Provide exceptional patient care and address any concerns or questions Skills: - Proficient in medical documentation and maintaining accurate records - Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for dental imaging and treatment planning - Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices to maintain a sterile environment - Strong understanding of medical terminology, including dental-specific terms - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Experience working with pediatric patients, providing gentle and compassionate care - Solid knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic) for documentation purposes If you are a dedicated Dental Hygienist with excellent clinical skills and a passion for providing exceptional patient care, we would love to hear from you.
