NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is responsible and accountable
for the quality of nursing care provided in the NICU.
- Providing policies, procedures, clinical orientation, staff
development, mentoring, consultation, and the maintenance of state
and national standards of care.
- The CNS is responsible for the collection, submission,
evaluation and dissemination of required data.
- The NICU education plan is developed and implemented in
consultation with the NICU Nursing and Medical
Directors.QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the
State.
- Current certification by the State Board of Nursing as a
Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Current certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing from a
nationally recognized accrediting organization (i.e. the NCC)
- Three (3) years of clinical experience in neonatal nursing
care
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in neonatal nursing care at
a NICU that is equivalent to a Regional or Community NICU
- NRP certificate upon hire and maintain current
- NRP Instructor preferred
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain

compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated
wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $77,584.00 to
$123,510.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation
to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an
applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be
considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of
applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure. #nicu
