About The Position We are seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Urgent Care for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California. Start your journey with us on Nov 3, 2025, working a full-time schedule, including some weekends and federal holidays. This role offers the opportunity to handle a variety of cases similar to those found in an emergency department, minus the crash cart, with CT, Ultrasound, and labs available on-site. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Nov 3, 2025 - LOA: 120 days - Provider Type Needed: Family Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care - Schedule: 40 hours / week, includes some weekends and federal holidays Responsibilities and Duties - Provide comprehensive patient care in an urgent care setting - Manage a range of cases including acute, non-life-threatening conditions - Utilize modern diagnostic tools including CT and Ultrasound - Perform routine laboratory tests and interpret results - See patients of all ages, including newborns - Maintain accurate patient records using Epic EMR system Additional Information - National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner required - Must hold ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications, all through the American Heart Association - DEA certification required - Board certified in Family Medicine Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
