General Job Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life. Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds and other diagnostic procedures. Perform surgical procedures, such as hysterectomies, cesarean sections and minimally invasive surgeries (depending on scope of practice). Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions. Minimum Education Requirements: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Residency training program in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). License & Certifications: Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the AOA. Active and unrestricted medical license in California.
