We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens assignment in California, starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity spans 36 days, with day shifts scheduled between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm, 3–5 days per week. The role involves caring for patients of all ages, including both children and adults. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Jan 5, 2026 - LOA: 36 days - Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician - Schedule: Standard 5-day, 8-hour shifts; 10:00 am – 7:00 pm or 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm; 3–5 days per week; assignment length 3–6 months Responsibilities and Duties - Provide comprehensive family practice medical care to patients of all ages, including children and adults - Conduct patient examinations, assessments, and diagnoses within the family practice scope - Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions - Order and interpret diagnostic tests as clinically indicated - Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations - Maintain accurate and timely patient records - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff Additional Information - California medical license required (must be in-hand) - Must possess a current DEA registration - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Board certification in Family Medicine preferred; board eligibility accepted Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
