(CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating
Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized patient
care and unit support in the operating room (OR) environment with a
focus on optimal patient outcomes and adherence to best practices.
This contract role requires reliable, self-motivated nursing
professionals skilled in OR techniques and committed to maintaining
high-quality standards. Responsibilities: Adhere strictly to all
healthcare policies, ethical standards, and attendance guidelines.
Complete and maintain licensing, certifications, and mandatory
trainings (e.g., TB Testing, Safety, HIPAA) within required time
frames. Deliver quality patient care by anticipating procedural
needs, assisting with dressings or cast applications, and following
physician preference cards. Perform accurate surgical counts (towel
clips, Allis, Ednas) before patient exits OR, coordinating with
relief staff when necessary. Maintain up-to-date surgeon preference
cards and comply fully with all count policies. Proactively
identify and resolve department challenges, submit process
improvement suggestions, and participate in team teaching. Work
additional or different shifts upon request, taking responsibility
for tasks beyond routine duties. Qualifications: Current nursing
license with operating room (ORT) experience. Strong knowledge of
surgical procedures and aseptic techniques. Ability to work
independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Excellent communication and documentation skills. Location: The
