Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Oncology - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 5x8hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN for a clinic-based, day-shift position requiring a valid CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of chemotherapy experience. Details - Outpatient oncology clinic setting - Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts) - 13-week contract - Charting in Cerner EMR (experience required) - No blocked or self-scheduling Requirements - Active CA RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy (chemo) experience required; inpatient experience is acceptable - At least 1 year of acute care experience required - At least 1 year of oncology specialty experience within the past 2 years required - Cerner EMR experience required - Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts) - At least one supervisory/director/manager reference from within the past year on the relevant unit required; a second reference within the past 2 years from a charge nurse, co-worker, or educator is also required Additional Information - Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as traveling candidates - No time off (RTO) permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and cannot be changed after submission - Candidates who have previously been employed by this health system must receive facility approval prior to starting the assignment - Former employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler - First-time travelers should check position details for eligibility American Traveler Job ID P-686659.
