Job Description

The Associate Business Analyst is a role within the SD&A Services team with a focus on Customer Experience and Analytics. Reporting to the Manager of Global Business Analytics for SD&A Services, this role will primarily be responsible for compiling and maintaining a global database of the SD&A install base. Additionally, this role is expected to:

  • Partner with internal teams to develop new processes that improve the efficiency, reproducibility, and/or scalability of reports

  • Manage new moderately complex reporting requests with little information

  • Arrange meetings with stakeholders, elicit business requirements and generate and distribute reports

  • As an Analyst you would also be responsible for supporting the production of custom analyses or new insights for strategic customers and operational reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop tools and dashboards to facilitate business processes and increase productivity.

  • Establish and maintain a global install base of SD&A equipment.

  • Analyze large quantities of data to look for key attributes and trends.

  • Develop new processes that improve the efficiency, reproducibility, and/or scalability of reports.

  • Complete validation on collected data.

  • Develop and document reports or analyses.

  • Support initiatives for data integrity and governance

  • Manage new moderately complex reporting requests with little information, arranging meetings with stakeholders, gather business requirements and generate and distribute reports.

  • Support the production of custom analyses or new insights for strategic customers and operational reporting.

  • Effectively organize data in tabular, graphical and summary fashion for presentation to all levels of management as well as various other stakeholders.

  • Gain familiarity with internal tools used at Leidos for analytics purposes.

  • Assist in development or improvement of operational reporting.

  • Take ownership of existing reports and manually update data and perform reporting enhancements requests.

  • Shadow and understand change management processes for various development tools.

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and work streams to support internal teams.

  • Work with direct management to prioritize business and information needs

  • Map business workflows and continue documentation efforts as workflows evolve.

  • Collaborate with data insights and data products to overcome obstacles needed for pushing forward automation efforts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a BA degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.5 years experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint

  • Strong proficiency with MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Macros, Pivot Tables, PowerQuery)

  • Strong proficiency with MS Power BI

  • Ability to pull and join data from multiple data sources, analyze, develop initial insights and format for professional presentation.

  • SQL experience: intermediate level (additional programming experience a plus. E.g. SAS, Python, R)

  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast paced, changing environment.

  • Detail oriented

  • Has or can receive a security clearance to work with sensitive US government data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Past experience working in the security detection industry

  • Experience working in a global, large-scale services organization

  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning

  • Experience with Siebel CRM

  • Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud and Oracle Visualizer

  • Experience with Cognos

  • Experience with Toad Data Point and Toad Intelligence Central
