We are currently searching for a Sales Representative who will promote and manage commercial specification development and sales within designated territory to increase Company sales. You will also work with defined channel partners within the designated territory to maximize project acquisition to achieve the revenue growth goals established by the Solatube International, Inc.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops sales and marketing plan for assigned territory in conjunction V.P. of Sales
  • Calls on commercial architectural design firms, lighting designers, general contractors, interior designers, ESCO's, school districts, facility managers, developers, property managers, design/build, professionals, commercial end-users and Solatube International commercial channel partners and distributors to develop and support specification sales activities.
  • Demonstrates product features and benefits effectively to customers, installers, and prospects
  • Provides product knowledge and assistance to design community and customers regarding installation information and operation of product
  • Educates customers on the proper application and use of Solatube products. Customers include commercial architectural design firms, lighting designers, general contractors, interior designers, school district employees, facility managers, developers, property managers, design/build, professionals, commercial end-users and Solatube International commercial channel partners and distributors.
  • Organizes commercial specification sales campaigns including prospecting for new specification accounts and servicing existing specification accounts
  • Works with channel partners and distributors to calculate and quote prices, close transactions, process orders and manage projects
  • Coordinates orders and servicing of accounts with commercial channel partners and distributors
  • Surveys market and prospects including comparative information on competitive products' performance and pricing
  • Manages time for maximum productivity. Prepares efficient itineraries to maximize Company travel time and to contain costs.
  • Represents Company and products at trade shows
  • Maintains records of Specification activities and sales to facilitate analysis of sales efforts in Salesforce.com and manage the company's "Configurator Database"
  • Meets Specification quotas as well as revenue targets for the territory
  • Completes and submits in a timely manner all expense, travel, and sales reports
  • Offers suggestions for improvements to existing products and ideas for new products
  • Stays within expense/travel budgets and collateral support budgets
  • Perform duties outside of territory as needed
  • Directs and participates in ongoing safety training
  • Communicates effectively with peers, supervisors, management, and external contacts
  • Attends meetings and trainings as required
    QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITIONBachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business and/or and Marketing desired. Minimum six (6) years experience in regional outside sales, preferably in architectural specified sales related industry. Excellent presentation, written and oral communication, organizational, and mathematical skills. Understanding of basic finance. Candidate needs to have an entrepreneurial spirit and mindset. Computer competency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software required. Competency in CAD and lighting design software tools desired. Salesmanship skills. Ability to be a team player. Valid driver's license and proof of insurability.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITIONThe position is salaried. The employee must be "drug free", in that he or she may not hold the position and use illegal and/or non-prescribed drugs. Good hearing and vision. Frequent and prolonged standing, walking, and sitting. Some climbing and lifting to 50 lbs. Uses standard office equipment. Overnight travel is required and will be a minimum of 30% of total time. Ability to operate a vehicle.
