GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW This position is responsible for leading,
managing, and developing the Account Executives and Inside Sales
Representatives within the region. Provides support for regional
management as well as ensures all sales activities follow company
direction and policies. The Sales Manager is responsible for
developing and implementing sales strategies and plans to drive
sales growth. A Sales Manager can help to develop customer business
relationships. Prioritize and organize daily sales activities and
implement policies and structures to ensure sales activities
produce maximum lifting and revenue. Ultimately, to ensure sales
targets and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are exceeded.
The Sales Manager is also responsible for reporting weekly regional
market updates and account activities to the management. The Sales
Manager is always expected to maintain a professional image that
best represents HMM. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Build market
position by leading and developing the sales team to close new
business; arrange business development meetings with existing and
prospective clients Become a subject matter expert on our business
products and services offered, and remain up-to-date on industry
related news Interact regularly with local management and develop
close and cooperative working relationships with operations staff
to ensure customer needs are being met Develop a growth strategy
and set quotas focused both on financial gain and profitability to
meet ambitious revenue targets Follow-up with the sales team, new
clients and operations to ensure a seamless implementation when
onboarding new clients Perform market research to continually
identify new pipeline opportunities; presenting and demonstrating
the value of products and services to prospective buyers Utilizing
electronic tools to effectively manage sales activities and key
information; build and maintain active pipeline; measure KPIs;
identify trends to improve win probability and forecasting accuracy
Exceed all assigned revenue goals and corporate pricing objectives:
Work with management on any clients that require yield improvement
within customer base Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Build

within customer base Perform other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in International business, sales,
marketing, global logistics, or maritime preferred. Must have a
proven sales track record in transportation and logistics At least
6 years in a sales or management role, preferred with
industry-related to ocean carriers, global logistics, or
international trade. TRAVEL If applicable ENVIRONMENT / EQUIPMENT /
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work performed in an office environment where the
noise level is moderate. Regularly required to stand, sit, and walk
around the office. Frequently required to work on a computer.
Occasionally required to use force to lift, push and pull up to 20
pounds. Nothing in this position description restricts management’s
right to assign or reassign essential and non-essential duties and
responsibilities to this position at any time. May require some

Additional Details: The pay range listed for this position is the
anticipated starting salary or wage range, and the final offered
rate will be based on individual merit and the relative
compensation of employees in similar positions. HMM employee

insurance, 401(k) employer matching contributions, paid holidays,
and up to 10 vacation days and six sick days in the first year. HMM
